Six graduate students were awarded travel funds to conduct research internships: Erin Daly (organic chemistry, Taylor group) to train with Fernando Diaz, Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas, Spain; Major Gooyit (organic chemistry, Mobashery group) to train with Irit Sagi, Department of Structural Biology, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel; Apryle O’Farrell (organic chemistry, Mobashery group) to train with Andrea Dessen, Institute of Structural Biology, Grenoble, France; Ian Sander (biochemistry, Clark group) to train with Carol Gross, Departments of Cell & Tissue Biology and Microbiology & Immunology, University of California, San Francisco; Yao Shen (biochemistry, Wiest group) to train with Zoltan Oltvai, Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; and Jeanette Young (biochemistry, Taylor group) to train with Rolf Müller, Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Saarland University, Germany.
